Privacy policy
Effective date: 20 April 2026 · Language: English (EU audience)
1. Who we are
This notice describes how Buildesly (“we”, “us”) processes personal data when you use the public marketing site at project.buildesly.com (the “Site”). The data controller is the Buildesly entity operating this Site. For privacy requests, contact us at the address published on the Site or via the waitlist / contact channel you used.
2. Scope
This policy applies to visitors of the Site. It does not cover the full Buildesly - Project OS product (authenticated workspaces); that product will have separate notices and agreements where applicable.
3. Data we process
Depending on how you use the Site, we may process:
- Technical and usage data — for example IP address, browser type, device category, referrer, and pages viewed, collected via server logs or analytics tools if you consent to the Analytics category.
- Waitlist or contact information — if you submit a form hosted by a third party (for example Google Forms), that provider processes the fields you submit under their terms; we receive the responses you send to us.
- Preference data — if you allow the Preferences category, we store your theme choice (light or dark) in your browser (local storage).
- Consent records — we store your cookie choices in your browser (local storage) to respect your preferences on return visits.
4. Purposes and legal bases (GDPR)
We rely on the following legal bases under the UK/EU GDPR as applicable:
- Strictly necessary — to provide the Site, remember your consent, and protect security. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) legitimate interests (provision of the Site and fraud prevention), and where required Article 6(1)(c) legal obligation.
- Preferences — to remember non-essential choices such as theme. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(a) consent.
- Analytics — to measure aggregated traffic and improve the Site. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(a) consent.
- Marketing — if enabled, to measure campaigns or deliver relevant content. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(a) consent.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and browser storage as described in our Cookie policy. You can change optional categories anytime via Cookie settings in the site footer.
6. Retention
Server logs: retained only as long as needed for security and operations, typically a limited rolling period. Consent and preference records in local storage persist until you clear site data or we bump the consent version to ask you again. Form submissions are retained according to our internal retention schedule for early access leads.
7. Recipients and transfers
We use infrastructure and form providers (for example hosting and Google Forms) that may process data in the EU, UK, US, or other countries. Where data is transferred outside the EEA/UK, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
8. Your rights
Where GDPR applies, you may have the right to:
- Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and portability (where applicable)
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior lawful processing)
- Lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority
To exercise rights, contact us using the details we provide on the Site or in correspondence.
9. Children
The Site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes
We may update this policy; the effective date will change. Material changes may require renewed consent where applicable.
